MOBILE ZEITEN invited representatives of private and municipal transport companies from the counties of Osterholz-Schambeck, Stade, Cuxhaven, Rotenburg/Wümme and the city of Bremerhaven to a live webinar on automated and autonomous mobility. The event „Impulses for the mobility of the future in rural areas” took place as part of the EU-Interreg project A.R.T-Forum (Automated Road Transport). The 15 participants were given the opportunity to inform themselves and to discuss ideas and practical questions with experts.

The live webinar offered concrete insights into the use of automated and autonomous mobility to strengthen bus and rail transport in rural areas. Furthermore the state of the art, the legal framework and practical examples from Germany and other European countries were addressed.

The discussion that followed focused on the exchange of possible implementation steps and challenges of automated public transport in the municipalities.

Overall, the webinar was a successful event with a good exchange of experience, which showed that there is great interest in the development of a forward-looking and attractive mobility.
